Class levels with an A or B after them cover half of the material of our standard classes. This is because they meet less often. Example:
- Level 1 classes cover all material taught for the entire Level 1 class.
- Level 1A classes cover the first half of the material taught in Level 1.
- Level 1B classes cover the second half of the material taught in Level 1.

- GENERAL DESCRIPTION: This level is for any students who are new to the language or want to start learning from the beginning. Even if you have studied Mandarin in the past, this level is ideal for students who need a refresher course on the fundamentals of the language. English & Mandarin are used.
- TOPICS LEVEL 1A: Introduction to Mandarin (writing system, pronounciation, common expressions), Exchanging Greetings, Nationality, Family & Career Vocabulary, Time & Date, Age & Characteristics, Going to Dinner, Hobbies, Going out with Friends, Welcoming Visitors, Introducing Others, Interacting with Strangers, Location Descriptions.
- TOPICS LEVEL 1B: Making Appointments, Using the Phone, Favors, Time Expressions, Evaluating Oneself, Evaluating Aspects of the Chinese Language, Directional & Descriptive Compliments, Campus Life, Time-When Expressions, Shopping (colors, sizes, prices), Purchasing & Exchanging Merchandise, Traveling & Getting Around, Describing Directions, Review.
LEVEL 2 - LEVEL 2A - LEVEL 2B

- GENERAL DESCRIPTION: This level is for any students who have a basic grasp of the Mandarin language or have studied the fundamental apsects of Mandarin recently. Students should have an understanding of most topics covered in Level 1, including use and pronounciation of the Pinyin system and level 1 characters. English & Mandarin are used in this class.
- TOPICS LEVEL 2A: Review Level 1 Concepts, Date & Time, Birthdays, Days of the Week, Calendar, Common Verbs, Asking the Time, Asking What Someone is Doing, Location (Prepositions), Rooms of a House, Relative Location, Clothing (Shopping & Fitting), Sizes, Getting Dressed, Discounts, Asking Opinions
- TOPICS LEVEL 2B: Shopping Review, Asking for Prices, Expressing Degrees of an Opinion, Making Comparisons, Second Opinions, Using the Phone, Eating Out, Ordering Food, Guest Etiquette, Making Choices, Frequency, Causes & Consequences, Weather Present & Future, Seasons, Review.
